Hospital Beds & Why Your Patient Might Benefit From Having One In The Home
MyCareHomeMedical.com provides the
safety, convenience and comfort of adjustable beds for home care. Our beds
allow nearly effortless positioning for ease of use by the patient or the
caregiver.
Determining the right support surface is an integral part of treating and even preventing painful pressure ulcers in your patients. Since there is no standard criteria to evaluate support surfaces, physicians find it a challenge to isolate and prescribe the appropriate surface. This is where MyCareHomeMedical.com can help. We work closely with physicians and caregivers to identify the patient's requirements and we use our experience with surface options to provide you with well-considered recommendations.
The two major classifications of surfaces, developed and refined over the past 30 years, are mattress overlay and mattress replacement. A mattress overlay is a support surface placed directly on top of the mattress, and may be constructed of foam, air or gel. A mattress replacement takes the place of a standard mattress and offers a variety of functions to suit specific care needs, including static air, alternating air, low air loss, and immersion.
Our goal is to provide the patient with the highest level of comfort. This is especially true for hospice patients, where attending to comfort and pain management of the terminally ill is often the care team's primary objective.

While hospital beds are traditionally larger in size to that of a more conventional bed & most twin covers & sheets are too small, we've been able to reach out to Invacare to provide their bed in a box bedding combo boxes to make these beds a little more comfortable.
